Terms & Condition's

1. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information about their pet(s), including health conditions, behaviour, routines, and emergency contact details.

  • Ensure pets are up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming treatments, and any required medications.

  • Inform me if their property is located in a high flood-risk area or is prone to flooding.

  • Complete and return the registration form before the first booking begins.

  • Notify me of any changes to bookings or cancellations in line with my cancellation policy.

  • Abide by these Terms & Conditions and any additional policies provided.

2. Equipment & Treats

  • I provide my own leads, poo bags, and standard dog treats.

  • If your dog requires a specific lead, harness, muzzle, or specialist treats due to dietary requirements, allergies, or training needs, these must be supplied by the owner and clearly labelled.

3. Cancellation Policy

Dog Walks & Home Visits

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for any cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged in full, unless due to a genuine emergency, which will be considered at my discretion.

Overnight Stays & Extended Bookings

  • A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking.

  • The remaining 75% balance must be paid one week prior to the booking start date.

  • For summer holidays, earlier payment may be requested due to high demand.

  • Cancellations made within one week of the booking start date will result in the loss of the deposit, unless due to a genuine emergency.

  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full, unless due to a genuine emergency.

4. Weather-Related Adjustments

  • If warm weather, storms, or flooding are forecast and you anticipate not needing a walk or visit, please notify me as early as possible.

  • If I message the day before due to unsafe weather conditions and you need to cancel, reasonable exceptions will be made.

  • If you are aware in advance that the service will not be required due to weather conditions, I expect to be informed ahead of time.

  • Where weather conditions make travel or walking unsafe (including flooding or severe storms), services may be adjusted, shortened, or cancelled in the interest of safety.

5. Summer Walk Policy

Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are my priority during warmer months.

  • When temperatures exceed 21°C, all regular walks will be cancelled. Instead, I will offer either:

    • An early morning walk, or

    • A home visit for a toilet break and indoor play.

  • Regular walks will continue up to 19°C, depending on the individual dog.

  • Some dogs, including certain breeds, older dogs, or those with medical conditions, may struggle at lower temperatures and will be assessed individually.

  • Between 19°C and 21°C, walks may be shortened and carried out in shaded areas where appropriate.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping keep your dogs safe.

6. Wet, Stormy & Flood Conditions

  • In muddy, stormy, or wet weather, walks may be reduced by 10 minutes to allow time for rinsing and towel-drying dogs before returning them home.

7. Emergency Situations

In the event of a pet emergency, I will contact the registered vet and transport your pet for immediate care. You will be notified as soon as possible.

8. Liability & Insurance

  • I will take every reasonable precaution to ensure the safety of pets in my care but cannot be held liable for unforeseen accidents, weather-related disruptions, or incidents beyond my control.

  • I am not responsible for damage caused by a pet unless I have been informed of the risk or given instructions to manage it.

  • I hold appropriate business insurance, and any reimbursement claims will be handled through my insurer.

9. Communication

  • Regular updates will be provided, and open communication regarding your pet’s care and wellbeing will be maintained throughout the service.

10. Privacy

  • All personal information shared will be kept confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties.
